Description
This module explores the interpretation and validation of microbiological test results within brewery quality control programmes.
Learners will examine laboratory best practices including the use of positive and negative controls, evaluation of agar plates and liquid tests, reduction of interpretation variability, and safe handling of microbiological waste within dedicated testing environments.
The course explains how to assess the reliability of microbiological results, recognise potential testing failures and respond appropriately to early warning signs of contamination. It also explores the role of measured decision-making, validation and corrective actions in maintaining confidence in laboratory data and protecting product quality.
Individuals enrolled on this module will have access for 90 days from purchase.
